Geography
Northern Adelaide. Lee covers the suburbs of Birkenhead, Exeter, Glanville, Hendon, Semaphore Park, Seaton, Semaphore South, Tennyson, West Lakes, West Lakes Shore and Royal Park.

Redistribution
Lee expanded slightly to the north-west, taking in Semaphore South from Port Adelaide.

History
Lee was created at the 1993 election, and has been held by Labor since 1997. The seat was first won by the Liberal Party’s Joe Rossi in 1993, and was then won by the ALP’s Michael Wright in 1997.

Michael Wright was re-elected in 2002, 2006 and 2010. He served as a minister from 2002 to 2011.

Wright retired in 2014, and Labor’s Stephen Mullighan won Lee. Mullighan was re-elected in 2018 and 2022.

  1. Like Port Adelaide, this will be pretty much an almost certain Labor hold/retain given the current pro ALP showing in opinion polls.

    This seat is considered Labor leaning with the Liberals only barely winning it during the 1993 landslide (with controversial MP Joe Rossi).
