This is a blog by Ben Raue. I have a particular interest in politics, and particularly elections, in Australia and other English-speaking countries.

This website is supported by the generous contribution of patrons via Patreon. Particular thanks to Malcolm Baalman, Seamus Lee, Jake Schoermer, David Walsh and Joanne Cotterill.

I have written election analysis for The Guardian, Crikey.com.au and other publications, and appeared on radio, including Radio National, 774 ABC Melbourne, 2SER and FBI. I am interested in, and available for, opportunities to provide election analysis for those elections I am following, providing an Australian perspective on elections across the world. My Google Earth election maps have also been used as part of CNN International’s coverage of the 2010 UK general election.

I’m a former member of the Greens, and in that role I was a candidate for a number of elections in the Campbelltown area from 2004 to 2008, and worked for the Greens in the Senate and on election campaigns.
