Geography
South-western corner of Western Australia. Forrest covers the towns of Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River and Collie. Forrest is made up of Augusta-Margaret River, Bunbury, Busselton, Capel, Collie, Dardanup, Donnybrook-Balingup, Harvey and Nanrup council areas.

The Liberal Party polled just over 40% in Forrest in 2013, compared to 39.2% across the state. The ALP’s vote is 2.5% lower in Forrest than the statewide average, and the Greens vote is 0.7% below the average.

The Nationals polled 1.65% above their statewide total, while PUP and the LDP slightly under-performed.

Booth breakdown
Booths have been divided into six areas. Polling places in Bunbury, Busselton, Collie and Harvey local government areas have been divided along council lines, with the remainder of the electorate split into “South” and “Central”.

The Liberal Party topped the poll in five out of six areas, with a vote ranging from 36.4% in the south to 44.8% in Busselton.

In Collie, the ALP won solidly, with 48.1% to 20.9% for the Liberal Party. The ALP’s vote in the rest of Forrest ranged from 18% in Busselton to 28.3% in Bunbury.

The Greens vote ranged from 4.2% in Collie to over 21% in the south of the seat, including 27% of the vote in Margaret River.

The Nationals came fourth with a vote ranging from 3.6% in Collie to 7.9% in the centre of the seat. The Nationals outpolled the Greens in Harvey.
