Labor primary vote took a massive dive here, while I think the margin is too large through if there is a anti Labor swing out this way then this seat could become marginal.
The seat is likely too safe to be worth the effort, but the sitting MP seems a bit disconnected from the community, and has a bit of a history with some unsavoury types but has been promoted to the ministry anyway. Could see the margin and her primary receive a further trim here but not sure the Liberals or ONP run a big campaign here. Potentially they try to draw attention to her more in an effort to damage the party brand statewide
@ Maxim
This seat comes in two half. The Western Half in Melton counci-Caroline Springs, Deanside etc are more like Sydenham demographically while the Eastern Half-Brimbank council Deer Park, Kings Park is more like St Albans deprived and very strong for Labor. I expect ONP to do well in Caroline Springs given large Maltese and Croatian communities.
It’s clear that Luba Grigorovitch is accident prone and if Labor were smart that pressure her to resign from the front bench and not contest the upcoming election at the end of this year.
I’m flabbergasted that she was the right’s preferred candidate for promotion in the re-shuffle – is it incompetence or sabotage?
