Interestingly this seat is where Labor did worse in 2023 than 2011 and Labor seems to do poorly in the public housing area here (compared to other Public Housing Areas in Sydney) so I wonder what is the strong underperformance here?
@ Marh
Like i have mentioned in the Werriwa thread. I think Liverpool council is one areas where Libs seem to be improving among working class CALD areas. I think Ned Mannoun is one reason. Remember these results were before October 7th so with increased Islamphobia and more left ward shift among Muslims i wonder if there will be a reversal. I have also called on Labor to dump Ann Stanley for a better quality MP in Werriwa
@ Marh
See my 2023 comments i have expressed that Labor should be concerned before

This area is definitely trending Liberal but the retirement of Paul Lynch would have played a big role in against Labor at the 2023 election. He held the seat for almost 30 years so no doubt he had a sizeable personal vote. Charishma Kaliyanda running in Holsworthy twice and then being handed a safe seat isnt a good look either and I’m sure her credentials as a Liverpool City councillor didn’t help her too much either.
