Do we think Greens could be competitive in Heffron?
@ Greenlach7
The issue here is that this seat seems to be a leftover seat with no single community of interest. I feel Greens can grow in the areas in Sydney and Inner West LGA. However, South of Gardners Road has lower density, very industrial near the airport less gentification potential. Around Mascot stattion there is higher density but it is very CALD and mainly international students so more like Wolli Creek
East of the M1 in Randwcick couuncil has a stronger Liberal vote. This is the same issue in Summer Hill where parts are good for Greens but as you move West of the Light Rail line it changes to single family homes and more CALD. I think best chance for a pick up for Greens is actually Lismore but that will be only once Janelle Saffin retires.
The Greens could surpass the Liberals and enter the 2CP but I doubt they’d be competitive or cause a threat to Labor.
I think the Greens would be more competitive in Summer Hill and Lismore when their sitting members retire or when Labor hits their lowpoint.
