This Saturday night, I’m going to be doing something different, that I’ve been thinking about doing for a while.
Instead of doing a liveblog, I will be livestreaming election night coverage.
This is a bit of an experiment and I’m keeping it simple for the first time. To help spread out the burden of being on air for the whole night, I will have a selection of guests on: Kevin Bonham, Intifar Chowdhury, Rob Manwaring, Jill Sheppard, Josh Sunman and Anthony Zougras, spread throughout the night.
I hope this will evolve into something that is a bit different to the big TV broadcasts – something that can focus on the results data entirely, rather than having to share the stage with all of the other narratives of election night.
So please tune in, and let me know what you think. If this is successful it’s possible I could do more livestreams for Farrer and Victoria.
