With a bit of a break in action after the federal election, I’ve decided to launch an Instagram account for the Tally Room. The account will have posts lining up with blog posts here on the website, as a bit of a taste of what you can read on the blog. I’m also interested in doing video previews for podcasts and video updates, which could potentially be posted on Tik Tok and Facebook at some point. I’m just going to take my time getting a hang of producing content that works for those platforms.
If you want to follow my work on various social media platforms, these are the ones you can follow:
- I post regularly on Bluesky.
- There is a Tally Room Facebook account that mostly posts links to blog posts, but may also crosspost video from Instagram.
- And the new Instagram account
If you’re on Instagram, I’d appreciate a follow.
Hi
You could do a great job by analysing the critical seats and the role of multicultural communities in the outcome. There has been some comment about Chinese communities etc., but working through the major groups in key seats would be useful. One example, total “victory”margin for Tim Wilson can be found in the swing in votes in a few booths in Brighton which went from Teal to Liberal by almost the exact number by which he won. These are booths very strongly affected by attitudes to the Israeli actions in Gaza. That is the vote for Wilson should not be misinterpreted as support for the Liberals overall. The high informal vote in certain seats and booths could also be examined based on Census data re ethnicities etc. Also the outcome of the Muslim voting strategies is worth examining.
