Redistribution
Mill Park shifted north, losing part of Mill Park to Bundoora and the remainder of Lalor and Thomastown to Thomastown. In exchange, Mill Park gained parts of Epping and South Morang from Epping. These changes cut the Labor margin from 19.5% to 16.9%.

History
The electoral district of Mill Park was first created prior to the 1992 redistribution. It has been won by the ALP at all five elections since it’s creation.

Mill Park was first won in 1992 by Alex Andrianopoulos who had held the seat of St Albans since 1985, before his district was abolished in 1992. He was elected Speaker of the Legislative Assembly after the ALP’s election win in 1999 and served in the role until his retirement in 2002.

Andrianopoulos was succeeded in 2002 by his former electorate officer Lily D’Ambrosio. D’Ambrosio was re-elected in 2006 and 2010.
