I received a recorded message yesterday from the incumbent member re: the Kippa Ring to Petrie railway, please spend your campaign funds on delivering real policies not veiled promises Ms D'ath.

Whilst campaigning with my fellow Democratic Labor Party in Petrie Laurie Addison this morning I spotted a few ALP sign holders spouting Julia Gillard’s Railway for Redcliffemessage. Surely Radcliffe’s railway was built by the Goss Government in 1989. I am sure I remember reading an ALP flyer promising that work would have started on the railway before the next election. But then of course Super Kev came along as Goss’s chief of staff with his unique style of government and sent it to a committee to look at followed by a review followed by another committee followed by consultation with the people of Redcliffe. Plenty of glossy paper but no evidence steel. Why would anyone be gullible enough to believe the ALP (or for that matter the LNP for that matter but I am not old enough to remember their promise’s over this issue.

Who will get the money when Anna Bligh flogs it off to some shonk. Will Gillard use the same business skills she used when building assembly halls to ensure that the Australian Taxpayer is not just giving Anna Bligh a present to make more spending promises in a year’s time.
If they play their cards right they may be able to delay, cancel and then re-promise in 2013.
The DLP welcomes the news that they are building the railway but will welcome more a few workmen starting the task.

The Ted Smout bridge was built as an alternative to the railway. What magnificent “Going Forward” planning the Gillard/ Rudd / Goss/ Bligh governments have shown. “It’s Time” for a major change. Vote DLP

Yeah the LNP have changed their website and got rid of that page that the candidates were originally listed on. They're now on a different page.

The link to the LNP candidate returns a 404 Not Found Error.
Isn't that kind of indicative of the state of affairs in the political wing right now?

I wish there was a decent conservative independant candidate to vote for.

The DLP just pre-selected Laurie Addison for the seat of Petrie
His profile and others should be up this week.
Laurie is a Boilermaker/union members and lives locally in Rothwell.

Ben when I put up the DLP Candidates can I link back to your seat guide ?

I'd like to congratulate Sally Vincent on her pre-selection for Family First in the seat of Petre.
I wish her all the best as she commences her campaign early.
So we have:

Yvette D’Ath ALP
Dean Teasdale LNP
Sally Vincent FF
