The Tasmanian election is due to be held by May 2018 – and if the last three elections are any guide, the election will likely be held in March.

Given the Federal Redistribution of Tasmania has just concluded, won’t the next State Election be fought on the new boundaries and the Division of Denison replaced by the Division of Clark?
No I don’t believe so. As I understand it, the Tasmanian state parliament needs to legislate for the boundary change and that hasn’t happened.
