Great map! But is it wise to colour independents in purple? Purple is the colour of the UK Independence Party; traditionally independents appear gray on maps.

They were drawn manually using the UK electoral maps website at http://www.election-maps.co.uk/

I’m not sure what you mean by an illustrator friendly format, it should be possibly to convert the KMZ file into some sort of GIS program.

Hi Ben,
How did you go about building this and what data did you use? Is it the boundary data released after the 2007 elections?
I’ve been trying to find this map for a while but there doesn’t seem to be any downloads available. Would you have a copy in an illustrator friendly format?

Thanks for this resource, I was wondering if you have a copy of it with towns and cities included? I am interested in buying a map of the whole of the UK with parliamentary constituencies but I need one with the main towns and cities included, please email me if you have something like this.

The Isle of Man is not part of the United Kingdom and doesn’t have a seat in the House of Commons.
